Please make sure you have read and understood the terms and conditions before you make a booking. By placing a booking, you are deemed to have read, understood and agreed to them.
General
-
All instruction and training methods to be followed by the handler
-
Please make sure you wear suitable clothing and shoes – training is held outdoors in a grassy, enclosed area.
-
Clients can be asked to leave at any stage if they are unable or unwilling to follow our instruction and advice and we believe that this results in causing a danger to other persons or animals
-
Homework exercises to be followed away from training in your own time
-
Training problems and difficulties encountered to be reported via e-mail or at the next session
-
When you bring your dog to group training, you do so at your own risk. Dogs are not always predictable in their behaviour and although the risk is minimal, that is the nature of a dog training environment
-
Your dog is to be handled competently and safely and be under your control at all times. Each owner is to take responsibility for their dog, bearing in mind that they will understand their dogs intentions and idiosyncrasies
-
Dogs to be kept on a lead at all times unless otherwise instructed
-
Other equipment that we recommend should be fitted correctly and used as per the manufacturer’s guidelines
-
If your dog does not benefit from the group environment and you, or the instructor, feel that the dog is not learning or enjoying the course we may refer you to other locations
-
Any faeces deposited to be cleaned up immediately and taken away for disposal
-
For group training, missing two consecutive training sessions, equivalent to three hours of training, will result in you forfeiting your place in class
Bitches in season
Please note that bitches in season are not permitted to attend training sessions – one to one and group sessions.
For one to one sessions, the appointment will need to be rescheduled (subject to Refunds and Cancellations policy).
For group training, the dog cannot attend training, however the handler can and should so that they don’t fall behind with training or lose their space on the course.

Children
Children are not permitted to attend training sessions without prior permission of Adhara Dog Training. If children are permitted, there must be appropriate adult supervision. We accept no responsibility for children at training sessions and it is the responsibility of the supervising adult to ensure the children’s safety at all times. Young people under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
Health and Vaccination
-
All dogs and puppies should be suitably protected from the potential risk of disease, as well as being appropriately treated for internal and external parasites.
-
Adhara Dog Training advises that owners should consult their veterinary professional with regard to such issues.
-
There can be no guarantee that there is absolutely no risk of disease at any venue or when in contact with any other dogs or training materials, which may have been in contact with other dogs.
-
It is the owner/ handler’s responsibility to ensure that their dog is appropriately protected against the risk of disease: Adhara Dog Training accepts no responsibility for the potential or actual exposure of dogs to disease. If an owner chooses not to routinely vaccinate their dog/ puppy (for example because they are choosing titre testing or using homeopathic nosodes), this is entirely the choice of the owner and is a decision made at their own risk.
-
By agreeing to these Terms and Conditions, you are accepting full responsibility for the protection of your dog from the risk of disease.
-
Please advise us in advance of the session if your dog has had an injury, has been to see a veterinary professional (except for a routine check up), been in contact with another dog infected by a contagious disease or if they appear to be unwell (eg. vomiting, diarrhoea, coughing, runny nose etc). Depending on the issue, it may be advisable for the session to be cancelled or re-arranged (see Refunds and Cancellations). If your dog has any known allergies or intolerances to certain foods or has any other special needs, it is your responsibility to bring this to the attention of the trainer prior to the start of the session, and provide appropriate alternative treats etc.
