Terms and Conditions

 

Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before making a booking. By booking any service provided by Adhara Dog Training, you confirm that you have read, understood and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

1. GENERAL

1.1 Acceptance of an appointment offered by Adhara Dog Training constitutes a booking and acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.

1.2 All clients agree to follow the instructions, advice and training methods provided by Adhara Dog Training.

1.3 Training is conducted outdoors unless otherwise stated. Clients are responsible for wearing suitable clothing and footwear appropriate for weather conditions and uneven ground.

1.4 Dogs must remain under the handler's control at all times and must be kept on a lead unless otherwise instructed by the trainer.

1.5 Handlers are responsible for the actions and behaviour of their dog at all times and must ensure that their dog is handled safely and responsibly.

1.6 Clients agree to complete any recommended training exercises between sessions in order to maximise progress.

 

1.7 Any concerns, difficulties or behavioural changes should be reported to Adhara Dog Training as soon as reasonably practicable.

 

1.8 All dog waste must be cleaned up immediately and removed from the training venue.

 

1.9 Adhara Dog Training reserves the right to refuse, suspend or terminate services where, in its reasonable opinion, the behaviour of a client, handler, accompanying person or dog presents a risk to safety, welfare or the effective delivery of training.

 

1.10 No refunds shall be provided where services are refused, suspended or terminated under clause 1.9.

 

1.11 Adhara Dog Training reserves the right to prohibit the use of any training equipment that, in its reasonable opinion, compromises safety, welfare or the effective delivery of training.

 

1.12 Flexi leads are not permitted during training sessions.

 

1.13 If a dog is deemed unsuitable for a group training environment, Adhara Dog Training reserves the right to recommend alternative training arrangements.

 

1.14 For group training courses, clients who miss two consecutive sessions may forfeit their place on the course at the trainer's discretion.

2. BEHAVIOURAL HISTORY DISCLOSURE

2.1 Clients must disclose any known or suspected behavioural concerns before training commences.

 

2.2 This includes, but is not limited to:

• Aggression towards people or animals

• Biting incidents

• Resource guarding

• Reactivity

• Predatory behaviour

• Livestock chasing

• Excessive fear or anxiety

• Any behaviour that may present a risk to people, animals or property

 

2.3 Failure to disclose relevant behavioural information may result in immediate termination of services without refund.

 

3. BITCHES IN SEASON

3.1 Bitches in season are not permitted to attend group or one-to-one training sessions.

 

3.2 One-to-one sessions may be rearranged in accordance with the cancellation policy.

 

3.3 Handlers attending group courses are encouraged to attend without their dog in order to observe and avoid falling behind with training.

 

4. PAYMENT, REFUNDS AND CANCELLATIONS

Acceptance of an appointment offered by Adhara Dog Training constitutes a booking and acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.

One-to-One Training Sessions

4.1 Full payment must be made no later than seven days before the scheduled appointment unless otherwise agreed in writing.

4.2 Failure to make payment does not cancel the booking and does not remove the client’s obligation to provide notice of cancellation in accordance with these Terms and Conditions. Any cancellation fees or charges arising under these Terms and Conditions remain payable whether or not payment has been made in advance.

 

4.3 Adhara Dog Training reserves the right to refuse attendance, withhold services or release an appointment slot where payment has not been received by the required deadline.

 

4.4 Cancellations made more than 96 hours before the appointment will not incur a charge.

 

4.5 Cancellations made within 96 hours of the appointment will incur a charge equal to 50% of the session fee.

 

4.6 Cancellations made within 48 hours of the appointment will incur a charge equal to 100% of the session fee.

 

4.7 Failure to attend a booked appointment without notice shall be treated as a non-attendance and charged at 100% of the session fee.

 

4.8 Clients arriving more than 15 minutes after the scheduled start time may be treated as a non-attendance at the trainer’s discretion and the full session fee shall remain payable.

 

4.9 One rearrangement of an appointment is permitted without charge where at least seven days’ notice is provided.

 

4.10 Any subsequent rearrangement requested by the client may incur a fee of up to 50% of the session cost.

 

Behaviour Consultations and Puppy Home Visits

4.11 Behaviour Consultations and Puppy Home Visits must be paid for in full no later than seven days before the scheduled appointment unless otherwise agreed in writing.

 

4.12 Behaviour Consultation and Puppy Home Visit fees reflect not only the time spent with the client and dog, but also professional expertise, preparation time, travel time, administration and any written reports, training plans or follow-up advice provided.

 

4.13 Cancellations made more than 14 days before the appointment will receive a full refund.

 

4.14 Cancellations made between 7 and 14 days before the appointment will incur a charge equal to 50% of the appointment fee.

 

4.15 Cancellations made within 7 days of the appointment will incur a charge equal to 100% of the appointment fee.

 

4.16 Failure to attend a booked appointment without notice shall be treated as a non-attendance and charged at 100% of the appointment fee.

 

4.17 Adhara Dog Training reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to offer an alternative appointment date in place of applying cancellation charges, although there shall be no obligation to do so.

 

4.18 Where preparatory work, written reports, behaviour assessments, training plans or other professional services have already been undertaken, Adhara Dog Training reserves the right to retain an amount reflecting the work completed.

 

Group Training Courses

4.19 Payment is required in full at the time of booking.

 

4.20 A place on a course is secured only upon receipt of payment.

 

4.21 Course fees are non-refundable once the course has commenced.

 

4.22 If a client cancels before the course start date and Adhara Dog Training is able to fill the vacant place, a refund may be issued less a £25 administration fee.

 

4.23 Missed classes are non-refundable and cannot be transferred to future courses.

 

Trainer Cancellation

 

4.24 Adhara Dog Training reserves the right to cancel, postpone or rearrange training sessions due to illness, adverse weather, venue issues or circumstances beyond its reasonable control.

 

4.25 In such circumstances, an alternative appointment, online session or course date may be offered.

 

4.26 Liability shall be limited to the value of the training fee paid.

Outstanding Balances and Debt Recovery

 

4.27 Adhara Dog Training reserves the right to issue an invoice for any unpaid cancellation charge, non-attendance fee or outstanding balance, and the client agrees that such sums become immediately payable upon issue of the invoice.

 

4.28 Any outstanding fees, cancellation charges or non-attendance charges remain recoverable as a debt owed to Adhara Dog Training.

 

4.29 Any invoice, cancellation fee, non-attendance charge or other sum due to Adhara Dog Training which remains unpaid for more than 14 days from the due date may accrue interest at a rate of 8% per annum above the Bank of England base rate, calculated daily, until payment is made in full.

 

4.30 Adhara Dog Training reserves the right to recover any reasonable costs incurred in pursuing outstanding debts, including administration costs, debt recovery fees and legal costs where permitted by law.

 

4.31 Adhara Dog Training reserves the right to decline future bookings from any client who has outstanding fees, cancellation charges or unpaid invoices.

 

5. CHILDREN

 

5.1 Children may only attend training sessions with the prior permission of Adhara Dog Training.

 

5.2 All children must remain under the supervision of a responsible adult at all times.

 

5.3 Any person under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult.

 

5.4 Adhara Dog Training accepts no responsibility for supervising children during training sessions.

 

6. HEALTH, WELFARE AND VACCINATION

 

6.1 Owners are responsible for ensuring their dog is appropriately protected against infectious disease and parasites.

 

6.2 Owners should seek advice from their veterinary professional regarding vaccinations, titre testing and parasite control.

 

6.3 Adhara Dog Training cannot guarantee that any training venue is entirely free from the risk of disease transmission.

 

6.4 Attendance is entirely at the owner's own risk.

 

6.5 Owners must notify Adhara Dog Training before a session if their dog:

• Is unwell

• Has recently suffered injury

• Has recently undergone veterinary treatment

• Has been exposed to a contagious disease

• Is displaying symptoms including vomiting, diarrhoea, coughing, nasal discharge or lethargy

 

6.6 Adhara Dog Training reserves the right to refuse attendance where participation may pose a risk to other dogs or people.

 

6.7 Owners must notify Adhara Dog Training of any food allergies, sensitivities or special requirements before training commences.

 

7. HEALTH AND FITNESS DECLARATION

7.1 By attending training, clients confirm that both they and their dog are physically capable of participating safely.

 

7.2 Clients agree to notify Adhara Dog Training of any condition, injury or limitation which may affect safe participation.

 

8.PHOTOGRAPHS, VIDEO AND MARKETING

 

8.1 Photographs and videos may be taken during training sessions for training, educational and marketing purposes.

 

8.2 Clients who do not wish images or recordings of themselves or their dog to be used must notify Adhara Dog Training in writing before the session.

 

8.3 Client testimonials, reviews and feedback may be used for marketing purposes unless otherwise requested by the client.

 

8.4 Clients may not photograph, record or livestream training sessions without prior written permission from Adhara Dog Training.

 

9. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

9.1 All training materials, handouts, written reports, training plans, videos, course content and resources remain the intellectual property of Adhara Dog Training.

9.2 Materials are supplied for personal use only.

9.3 No materials may be copied, reproduced, distributed, shared, sold, published or used for commercial purposes without prior written consent.

10. VETERINARY DISCLAIMER

 

10.1 Adhara Dog Training does not provide veterinary diagnosis, treatment or medical advice.

 

10.2 Any recommendations provided relate solely to dog training, behaviour and management.

 

10.3 Clients remain responsible for obtaining appropriate veterinary advice where required.

 

11. NO GUARANTEE OF RESULTS

 

11.1 Adhara Dog Training makes no guarantee regarding the outcome of any training programme, consultation or behavioural intervention.

 

11.2 Results depend on numerous factors including genetics, health, temperament, environment, consistency of training and adherence to advice.

 

11.3 No specific behavioural or training outcome is promised or guaranteed.

 

12. LIABILITY AND ASSUMPTION OF RISK

12.1 Participation in dog training activities carries inherent risks.

 

12.2 By attending training, clients acknowledge and accept these risks.

 

12.3 Clients accept full responsibility for the actions and behaviour of their dog.

 

12.4 Clients are responsible for any injury, damage or loss caused by themselves, their dog or any person accompanying them.

 

12.5 Any person attending training on behalf of the client shall be deemed to have accepted these Terms and Conditions.

 

12.6 Nothing within these Terms and Conditions shall exclude or limit liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or any liability which cannot legally be excluded under applicable law.

 

12.7 Subject to clause 12.6, Adhara Dog Training shall not be liable for any indirect, consequential, incidental or economic loss arising from participation in training services.

 

13. FORCE MAJEURE

 

13.1 Adhara Dog Training shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performing its obligations where such failure or delay results from circumstances beyond its reasonable control.

 

13.2 Such circumstances include, but are not limited to, severe weather, flooding, fire, disease outbreaks, pandemics, government restrictions, venue closure, utility failures, illness, injury or transport disruption.

 

13.3 Adhara Dog Training reserves the right to postpone, modify, move online or cancel services where necessary.

 

14. DATA PROTECTION

 

14.1 Personal information supplied by clients will be processed and stored in accordance with applicable UK data protection legislation.

 

14.2 Information will be used solely for the administration and delivery of training services and related communications.

 

14.3 Adhara Dog Training will not sell or share personal information with third parties except where required by law.

 

15. ENTIRE AGREEMENT

15.1 These Terms and Conditions constitute the entire agreement between Adhara Dog Training and the client.

 

15.2 No verbal representation, promise or statement shall form part of the agreement unless confirmed in writing by Adhara Dog Training.

16. GOVERNING LAW

16.1 These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.

 

16.2 Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms and Conditions shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
